Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

Last Updated: April 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Maverick Technologies ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the mobile applications we publish ("our Apps").

This policy applies generally to our Apps. Some of our Apps interface with hardware, cloud services, or web dashboards operated by our customers or partners. Those services have their own privacy practices and policies, which govern data those services collect or store. Where applicable, an App will link to or reference the relevant partner privacy policy.

Summary

Our Apps are designed to minimize data collection. We do not collect personal information directly through the App on your device. Some Apps connect to partner-operated services (for example, a customer's web dashboard, hardware controller, or cloud backend) to provide their core functionality. Data collected by those partner services is governed by the partner's own privacy policy, not by this one.

What We Do Not Collect Directly

Our Apps, as installed on your device, do not:

Permissions described below are used only on your device to support specific App features.

Permissions Our Apps May Request

Different Apps may request different permissions depending on their functionality. Each App requests only the permissions it needs.

Location Permission (Fine Location / When In Use)

When an App needs to read the name (SSID) of your Wi-Fi network - for example, to confirm you are connected to the correct network for a partner-operated device - it must request location permission. Android and iOS both gate the SSID behind location permission. Our Apps do not use GPS coordinates, do not track or record your physical location, and do not transmit any location data to any server we operate.

Nearby Wi-Fi Devices (Android 13+)

Required by Android to scan for compatible devices on your local Wi-Fi network using local discovery protocols (mDNS / Bonjour). No data leaves your local network as part of this discovery.

Local Network Access (iOS)

Required by iOS to discover compatible devices on your local Wi-Fi network. No data leaves your local network as part of this discovery.

Other permissions

If an App requests other permissions (for example, camera or storage), the purpose will be disclosed at the time of the permission prompt and in the App's store listing.

Data Flows Through Our Apps

Our Apps may facilitate the following kinds of data flows on your behalf. Whether any specific flow occurs depends on the App and the features you use.

Communication with local devices on your Wi-Fi network

Some Apps discover and connect to devices on your local Wi-Fi network. Communication between your phone and a local device happens over your Wi-Fi network and does not involve servers we operate.

Communication with partner-operated cloud services

Some Apps connect to web dashboards or cloud services operated by our customers or partners. When you use these features, you may be asked (by the partner's interface) to provide information such as an email address, account credentials, or device configuration. This information is transmitted directly to the partner's cloud service. The partner is responsible for that data and its privacy policy applies.

When an App opens a web page or dashboard in your device's browser or in an in-app browser, your interaction with that web page is governed by the operator of that web page.

Telemetry from partner hardware

Some Apps interface with hardware made by our partners. The hardware itself may transmit operational data (sensor readings, device identifiers, status, error logs) to the partner's cloud services. These transmissions are performed by the hardware, not by your phone, and are governed by the partner's privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

Our Apps may rely on infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, email delivery, content delivery networks) operated by our partners or by us. We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or user-tracking services into our Apps.

For App-specific details about which partner services and sub-processors are used, refer to:

Data Retention and Deletion

Because the App itself does not store personal data centrally, we do not retain personal information on your behalf. Data retained by partner services - for example, device telemetry stored by a partner's cloud backend - is governed by that partner's privacy policy and retention practices.

If you have provided personal information through an App's features (for example, by signing into a partner's dashboard or registering an email for alerts), and you want to request deletion of that information, please contact the partner directly. Partner contact information is available in the App or in the partner's privacy policy.

You may also contact us at the address below with general questions, and we will direct you to the appropriate partner if needed.

Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Communications between our Apps and partner cloud services use HTTPS where applicable. Communications between our Apps and devices on your local Wi-Fi network use the protocol appropriate to that environment.

International Users

Our Apps may interface with services hosted in various countries. By using an App, you understand that data exchanged with partner services may be transferred to, processed, and stored in countries other than your own. The partner operating the relevant service is responsible for compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the relevant App.
